Community Service

Pine Needle Quilt Guild's community service group creates handcrafted quilts and textile items with care and compassion to provide comfort, warmth, and support to those in need through our partner charities. We weave together our passion for quilting with our commitment to community service, transforming fabric into tangible expressions of hope.

Bringing Comfort Through Cuddly Companions

Join us in our initiative to create handmade stuffed animals for the residents of Wellspring.com. Every plush companion we craft will bring joy, comfort, and a personal touch to someone's life.

Bag and Bin Pic

Why Cosmetic Bags and Bins Matter

For girls ages 12-18, cosmetic bags and bins provide more than just storage—they offer privacy, independence, and a sense of identity during formative years. Having a special place for skincare products, hair accessories, and personal items helps Wellspring teen residents maintain their dignity and develop healthy self-care routines.

What We're Looking For

Durable fabric bins and cosmetic bags (lined) with zippered closures in various sizes featuring age-appropriate washable fabrics that are practical and appealing to teen girls.

How You Can Help

Whether you sew a single bag or dozens, your contribution will directly impact a girl's life. All skill levels are welcome in this project. You can view our bag pattern library by clicking the image above.

Quilts

Spreading Comfort and Joy Through Quilts

Pine Needle Quilt Guild spreads the gift of joy and love through our handmade quilts. All quilts donated to PNG Community Service are given to those in need in our community. We offer our quilts to local agencies including Sleep in Heavenly Peace, the Joy House, ACES Youth Home, The Pregnancy Center, and Pruitt Health in Jasper. For more information on some of the organization we are partnering with, just click on their name below.

How You Can Help

Create a quilt from your stash or request a kit from the community service group. Most of our partners request lap size quilts,. However, Sleep in Heavenly Peace request twin sized quilts. Bring your finished quilts to our meetings and making sure to give it to one of our Community Service committee members.
