Pine Needle Quilt Guild's community service group creates handcrafted quilts and textile items with care and compassion to provide comfort, warmth, and support to those in need through our partner charities. We weave together our passion for quilting with our commitment to community service, transforming fabric into tangible expressions of hope.

NICU Scent Square

Preemie babies find comfort in the familiar scent of mom and dad. Scent Squares let parents share that comfort even when they can't be right there in the NICU. Click HERE for the pattern and instructions. The finished square should be 4 inches and in a set of three.  

If you have flannel you are not using and would like to donate to this effort, please contact on of the community service members.


Easy Peasy Teddy Bears

These easy peasy teddy bears will be donated to the Children's Healthcare Heart and Liver Transplant Unit. All age appropriate, and hope they add a smile to a child while they are recovering.

Composition Notebook Covers

We'll be making decorated covers for composition notebooks, designed for the older kids in the Heart and Liver Transplant Unit at Children's. These give them a fun way to draw, doodle, or journal while they recover.

Beads of Courage Bags

Beads of Courage is a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and teens coping with serious illness, as well as their families and the clinicians who care for them.  Every time a bead is given, courage is honored, suffering is alleviated, resilience is strengthened, and the experience of human caring is affirmed.  We will be making Beads of Courage bags for Children's Healthcare.

Color Me Pillow Cases
Color Me Pillow Cases allow the kids to use machine washable markers to color and draw on their pillowcase making their own personalized pillowcase.  The markers wash out when machine washed allowing the kids to start over.
